Went to a self defense class the other night because I often walk by myself and thought it would be fun. At the end, someone that knew I was a teacher asked if I came so I could be prepared for an intruder. Why should that EVER be part of my job? What other professional occupation has that expectation. 25 years into teaching and I don’t know if I can make it as long as I need to.
