We are at midterms 1/2 way through the school year. I just got a new student assigned to my chemistry class. I asked him where he left off in chemistry in his last school. He tells me he has never taken chemistry before. I emailed guidance to let them know that he was incorrectly placed. I received a response stating that he has not been incorrectly placed, he is a senior and needs chemistry to graduate. Therefore it is my responsibility to “get him caught up” so he can pass and graduate this year.

He’s missed 1/2 the year…. And I’m just supposed to “catch him up”
