I teach Transitional Kindergarten this year (23 year veteran teacher) and was told by my new principal this week NOT to send students to the office for behavior problems because they “don’t understand what’s happening in the office.” This was during my request for assistance with a (repeat offender) child who had pulled down another students’ pants during lunch and yelled for everyone to “look at this!”
